SIGMA Europe 2024: how it went?
This weekend, our Betatransfer Kassa team returned from Malta, where one of the most anticipated iGaming events of the year — SIGMA Europe — took place. We weren’t just there; we made our presence loud and clear with a vibrant and engaging stand. This time, we had two new faces in the team — our fresh BDMs, Lisa Mel and Kseniya Shyndzikava. Since it was their first SIGMA with us, we couldn’t resist asking them to share their impressions from these action-packed four days.
— Lisa, Kseniya, how was it for you?

The event flew by in the blink of an eye! Honestly, it was four days of non-stop action. Our stand was constantly buzzing with operators, PSPs, and partners — both new and existing. We communicated in six different languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian. It felt like a real linguistic marathon!
What stood out the most was how clients and partners kept coming back, bringing new people with them and saying, ‘You’ve got to talk to BT Kassa, they’re amazing!’ That kind of feedback is so energizing. The event was superbly organized, and SIGMA’s 10th anniversary added an extra celebratory vibe. And, of course, seeing how many people recognized our CBDO, Alex Volk, was such a proud moment. He’s becoming our very own brand ambassador!
— Lisa, this was your first event with Betatransfer Kassa. How was the experience?

Yes, it was my debut with the team, and it was incredible! I’d call the first day my “baptism by fire”. So many questions, conversations, and new connections — I could barely keep up. Thankfully, my colleagues were always there to support and guide me. We really worked as one unit, and that energy is contagious.
I’d been to SIGMA Malta before, representing another company, so it wasn’t my first conference. But this was the first time I was so deeply engaged, handling constant interactions.
— Which payment solutions attracted the most attention?

It was amazing to see how much interest our stand generated. Many participants were drawn to our solutions for TIER 2 and TIER 3 markets, where our products offer excellent conversion rates and rapid scalability. Markets like the CIS region, Brazil (despite current challenges), India, and Argentina were among the most discussed. And, of course, our flagship crypto processing solution was a big hit.
SIGMA was incredibly productive and inspiring for me. I’m sure the full impact of the event will unfold over the coming months.
— What’s next on the horizon?

We’re heading home with a huge list of new contacts and ideas. There’s a lot of work ahead, but it’s the kind of work you love to do. The next major event where you can find our team will be ICE Barcelona. We’re already planning for an even bigger stand, more conferences, new solutions, and more massive events. We’re riding the wave!
