Sigma Eurasia, Affiliate World Dubai, SBC Rio. What was talked about at the largest iGaming events
The last two weeks have been very active. Sigma Eurasia, Affiliate World Dubai, SBC Rio. Three of the coolest events. Our BD managers had no chance to miss them. Of course, we were happy to see the photos that Alex and Oleg sent us from warm Emirates and Rio, but, as they say, not from the bottom of our hearts. The only thing that comforted us was that it was work. It was about it that we asked our busdev.
– So, guys, how do you like the last weeks?
Oleg Khom, BDM Betatransfer Kassa.
Oh, well, active.
Alex Volk, BDM Betatransfer Kassa.
That’s a good question. I’m back home and I’m definitely happier than I was before the trips. I worked more than 12 hours a day, but I swam in the sea. And the mood itself is like more combative. You can ask anything, a happy person will answer everything.
– Sigma Eurasia, Affiliate World Dubai – what are your impressions?
Alex Volk, BDM Betatransfer Kassa
Affiliate World Dubai is not really our profile. There were no potential partners for us there, but we have the same target audience with affiliates, so we went there for inspiration and new useful acquaintances.
Oleg Khom, BDM Betatransfer Kassa
Sigma is on the level as always. This is not our first event, and certainly not our last. This year we will be in Budapest and Malta with our stands. The audience at Sigma is already very familiar to us. Most of them are our current customers and partners. That’s why our meetings were mainly focused on increasing customer shares. We will see the results.
– How’s SBC Rio? We’ve all been looking at pics of the ocean here and, I won’t admit it, envious.
Alex Volk, BDM Betatransfer Kassa.
We should not have been jealous. There are a number of difficulties associated with Rio. The audience of the event is Latin America. Most of it is Brazil. I estimate that 40% of the SBC audience did not speak English at all, and Oleg and I are not experts in Portuguese. Difficulties in translation made life difficult.
– What about the audience of the event: what did they talk about, what were their needs?
Oleg Khom, BDM Betatransfer Kassa
Right now, all players in the iGaming market in Brazil are frozen in anticipation. The government is introducing a whole range of restrictions for the gambling business. Players must have a licence, which costs millions per year. This is not essential for big players, but smaller ones could get killed. In addition to licensing in general, the authorities are imposing strict requirements on companies. Not all will be able to keep up in this turbulence.
