MAC Yerevan 2026: payments, CIS landscape and where growth is heading next
While late May was saturated with major industry gatherings across Europe – from Malta to Cyprus – the Betatransfer team made its way to Yerevan for MAC. And once again, the conference confirmed its strong and very specific role in the industry ecosystem.
Unlike traditional expos, MAC has evolved into a focused meeting hub for the CIS-oriented iGaming community. For many participants, it’s less about the format and more about efficiency – two days in Yerevan often generate more actionable discussions than a full week at larger European events.
As Betatransfer BDM Vlad Grigori notes:
“Yerevan had a very intentional audience this year. People didn’t come to browse – they came with questions, deals in mind, and a clear understanding of what they were looking for. That completely changed the quality of conversations.”
The dominant theme throughout the event was still the CIS payment landscape. Operators are actively searching for stable and adaptable solutions for Russia and nearby markets, while simultaneously testing new expansion directions. Central Asia – particularly Uzbekistan and Tajikistan – stood out as a growing focus, with many companies now treating the region as a serious future growth engine.
One of the more surprising discussion points was Binance Pay. Despite being on the market for some time, it is still underexplored in the context of iGaming payments. At the Betatransfer booth, it quickly became a gateway topic, leading into broader conversations about infrastructure design and payment flexibility.
“When we walk people through real scenarios and explain where Binance Pay actually works best, the reaction changes immediately. It turns from a side topic into a strategic conversation,” Vlad adds.
The atmosphere of MAC remains one of its strongest advantages. Unlike larger, more formal European exhibitions, networking here feels organic. Deals start in passing conversations – at booths, during coffee breaks, or even on the way to evening events.
For Betatransfer, the event once again reinforced its established position in the market. Many visitors already knew the brand beforehand, which allowed conversations to skip introductions and move directly into solving real operational challenges.
And as always, Yerevan delivered not only business opportunities but also the kind of environment where relationships form naturally. MAC continues to show that industry progress is driven as much by human connection as by formal presentations.
