London, Meetings & a Pint (or Two): How Betatransfer did iGB Live
London — the perfect city to mix business with pleasure. And if you work in iGaming, it happens almost naturally here. iGB Live 2025 was exactly that — a proper cocktail of meetings, parties, new connections, and big talks about where this industry is headed.
For our team, this event was extra special — it was the first official conference for our new Business Development Manager, Andrea Balod. And as it goes with Betatransfer, his first outing wasn’t a quiet warm-up — it was straight into one of Europe’s biggest iGaming shows, with back-to-back meetings, new faces, and of course, our now legendary gastro pub crawl.
On July 1st and 3rd, we took our clients and friends on a proper tour of London’s finest pubs — rooftops, city views, great company, and yes, maybe a sore head the next morning. But come on — it’s London, it’s iGB Live, it’s Betatransfer.
Naturally, we had to grill Andrea on how it all went.
— So, Andrea, how was your debut?
Andrea Balod, BDM Betatransfer
Honestly? I knew it would be good — but it exceeded my expectations. And I’m not just talking about the number of meetings or new contacts. The vibe itself was brilliant. London’s perfect for this kind of event — everything’s close, everyone knows each other, and the conversations flow easily.
And that pub crawl? Absolute highlight. Meeting clients over a glass of wine turned out to be the perfect ice-breaker. I reckon a lot of people will remember those evenings just as much as the expo itself.
— What were the hot topics this year?
Andrea Balod, BDM Betatransfer
Regulation — no surprises there. Especially what’s happening in the UK: the Gambling Act Review, new player protection measures, and affordability checks. Helen Rhodes from the Gambling Commission gave a solid talk — you could tell the regulators are serious about this.
Brazil was another big one. Six months into market regulation, and now everyone’s figuring out how to stand out and build a sustainable business there.
Retention and gamification were also huge. Companies are getting creative to keep players engaged, and for us, it’s clear — better payments play a massive role. The easier it is to deposit — the higher the conversion and loyalty.
— What solutions are clients asking for most right now?
Andrea Balod, BDM Betatransfer
No surprises — crypto keeps growing. Binance Pay is still our top-requested option. With our Binance Pay solution, we meet the needs of clients who want 100% pass-through and speed.
There’s also a lot of focus on alternative local payments — India, LatAm, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan. That’s where we have a real edge: proven, ready-to-go solutions that work even in tricky regulatory markets.
— Where can people meet you and the Betatransfer team next?
Andrea Balod, BDM Betatransfer
Summer’s always busy, so we’ll be out and about. In autumn, you’ll definitely find us at SIGMA Euro-Med and SBC Lisbon.
And of course, we’re already prepping for the next big one — SIGMA Rome in November. New products, more geos, stronger partnerships — lots to talk about.
But hey, if you don’t fancy waiting for the next event — just drop me a message on LinkedIn or Telegram.
