How’d the SBC Summit Barcelona go

One of the most important iGaming-events SBC Summit Barcelona took place on 19-21 September in Barcelona. Every year several thousand people take part in the event and our team was no exception. This year our stand could be seen among the exhibitors, and our BDM Alex Volk could be met personally. 

In addition to the exhibition, during two days in five zones of the conference – Casino and Gaming Zone, Sports Betting Zone, Affiliate Partnerships, Marketing and Media Zone, Payments and Compliance Zone, New Technologies, Blockchain and Meta Universe Zone – there were panels and discussions on the most topical topics of the industry. 

The most interesting for us, of course, was the payments zone, where on the first day, for example, there was a panel entitled “Financial Institutions and Gambling: a turning point in high risk gambling assessment?”. The panelists called for a rejection of the stigmatising narrative that gambling is always high risk. 

“There should not be a blanket risk assessment for the industry as a whole. Each operator should be regulated accordingly, rather than saying that the industry is generally high risk,” said Luke Fisher, business development manager at Capital International Bank. 

Our team absolutely supports this thesis and is working in this direction.

We were glad to see everyone at the conference, to get acquainted, to agree on new cooperation and to discuss the main topics of the industry. We will be glad to see you again in 2 months at Sigma Europe in Malta on November 13-17.
